The current Early Access release officially contains two distinct playable pathways: The Forgotten Path and The Mysterious Facility. A third name, The Nest, appears in an unofficial build index, but it is not verified as playable and must not be treated as the launch's third route.
The launch map has two playable pathways.
Steam and Team Lazerbeam's September 10 launch announcement agree on the count: two pathways are available in Early Access. Each has its own characters, card pools, enemies, rewards, quests, synergies, and unlocks.
| Pathway | Current status | Verified identity |
|---|---|---|
| The Forgotten Path | Playable at launch | The established route named in the current build index and official launch context. |
| The Mysterious Facility | Playable after quest access | A new route to The Gloom with its own pools, enemies, and rewards; associated with Janitor, Gunk, Machines, and Data. |
| The Nest | Not verified as playable | An unofficial build record only; official material says the final third pathway is future content. |
The Forgotten Path is one of the current two.
The Forgotten Path is the named counterpart to The Facility in current route references. The reviewed official material confirms that the launch has two distinct paths, but does not provide a complete public node diagram, biome sequence, boss order, or fixed-generation rule for this route.
Use its name as a current navigation label, not permission to import an old Demo walkthrough. Prototype and Demo build 23718635 material can identify questions to re-check, but its routes, values, and encounter order are not current evidence.
The Mysterious Facility is the new Early Access route.
Team Lazerbeam's launch announcement describes The Mysterious Facility as a new path to The Gloom with independent card pools, enemies, and rewards. It also says quests open access to The Facility. The exact quest sequence is not published in the material reviewed here.
An official developer video connects the Facility theme with the Janitor and the Gunk, Machine, and Data systems. That supports planning around the route's identity, but does not prove a fixed map layout or an exact starting deck.
The Nest is a hidden or future-unverified record.
An unofficial extraction for build 25221077 lists three route records: The Forgotten Path, The Facility, and The Nest. Official launch sources, however, say two pathways are currently playable and describe a final third pathway as future Early Access work.
There is not enough evidence to say The Nest is that future pathway, or that players can enter it now. It stays outside the playable-route navigation until an official update or current game screen confirms its status.
Choose a route by what the run needs.
Without a verified fixed-node map, the safest approach is to evaluate the choices visible in the current run:
- Identify the immediate deficit. Decide whether the deck needs damage, recovery, card modification, thinning, or a missing synergy bridge.
- Read the route reward before committing. Prefer a visible payoff that helps the current deck over a speculative archetype.
- Protect both decks. Explore choices can affect access and card growth; Combat choices determine whether you survive the next encounter.
- Reassess before a boss. Remove stranded support cards and secure a fallback line before choosing more scaling.
- Treat unfamiliar nodes as current evidence. Record what the UI says instead of forcing the node into a Demo-era map.
This is a decision framework, not a claim that map generation always offers the same choices.
Biome records do not form a verified route map.
The build-scoped unofficial index exposes 12 biome records, including Gloom, Lab, Mines, Moss, Pipeworks, Rock, Ruins, Shroom, Tech, Thorns, Toxic Slime, and Trippy. Their presence in extracted data does not prove that every biome is reachable through the two normal pathways or that they appear in that order.
A publishable route diagram would need current screenshots or footage that verifies node labels, branch relationships, route ownership, generation behavior, and the build in which they were observed. Until then, this page deliberately uses a pathway overview instead of a fabricated map.
